Responsibilities
BICYCLE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS
- Perform comprehensive bicycle tune-ups, including adjustments to gears, brakes, and derailleurs, to ensure smooth and safe operation.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and relay information to customers using easy to understand language.
- Inspect and repair damaged components, such as wheels, chains, and drivetrains, to extend the lifespan of bicycles.
- Assemble new bicycles and prepare them for sale or customer pickup.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in diagnosing issues with their bicycles.
- Provide expert advice on bike repairs, maintenance, and suitable upgrades or accessories.
- Address customer inquiries and ensure satisfaction with services rendered.
- Maintain Quick Cranks' welcoming and non-judgemental atmosphere.
teamwork and workplace organization
- Collaborate with team members to ensure an efficient workflow and timely service delivery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace, including tools and spare parts.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Requirements
Candidate for this role must have:
- Previous bicycle mechanic experience.
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
- Knowledge of different types of bicycles and their components.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- A passion for cycling.

Working Conditions
This position primarily involves indoor work within the Quick Cranks bicycle store. Regular standing, walking, and lifting of objects are expected. Additionally, occasional outdoor tasks, such as organizing bike displays, event support and assisting customers in the parking area, may be required.
